We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Warehouse Manager to lead and optimize 3PL warehouse functions, multiple customers, and warehouse teams. A background in automotive is required.

Job Description:

  • Oversee inventory control processes utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP Systems (SAP & Plex), and open to learning new ERP systems as needed
  • Manage warehouse team of approximately 50 employees, across 3 shifts
  • Support all functions of EDI processing
  • Processing ASN’s
  • Review releases from multiple systems to create orders
  • Create and analyze inventory accuracy
  • Ensure all inventory is processed in and out of the system accurately and efficiently
  • Perform and track cycle counts
  • Ensure packing lists match to purchase orders
  • Maintain and collect data for invoicing customers
  • Oversee procurement activities such as purchasing materials, managing supply chain analytics, and supplier relationships to ensure timely availability of goods
  • Perform day-to-day warehouse operational activities and ensure all the work orders entered into the system accurately
  • Prepare/develop product specifications and artwork according to customer’s requirements
  • Confirm and verify product specification, artwork, and production/ repack schedule
  • Maintain current customer KPI’s, develop new KPI’s for onboarded customers
  • Work with customer to monitor inventory and release requirement
  • Telephone/email communications with customer suppliers
  • Monitor product quality control according to specification
  • Coordinate international and domestic freights for assigned customers as needed
  • Identify operational issues and improvement opportunities and report
  • Communication with vendors as needed for warehouse activities
  • Ensure safety policies are always practiced and enforced
  • Obtain multiple quotes and shipping options for all ad hoc and premium shipments as needed
  • Implement process improvements using Lean methodologies and continuous improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiencies and reduce waste
  • Additional duties assigned by management as necessary

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in supply chain or related field preferred
  • Must be proficient in Excel and Word
  • 3-5 years warehouse management experience
  • Automotive and 3PL experience required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of storage racking and pallet systems
  • MUST be flexible with shift start times as well as days worked
  • Experience using EDI and preparing shipping documents (e.g. ERP, ASN)
  • Fork lift experience a plus
